English Tudor
This English Tudor style home is located on a golf course in South Dakota. Our clients were seeking a very formal, exquisitely detailed home where they could live and entertain.
True old world craftsmanship abounds throughout the exterior and interior detailing. The exterior is composed of cut stone and brick. Protruding brick "clinkers" in a diamond pattern add subtle detail and texture to the steeply pitched gables.
The interior is no less magnificent. Walking through the custom arched front door you are greeted with a limestone tile and walnut bordered foyer floor where the motif is repeated in the design of the coffered ceiling. The custom stair rail with gothic arches leads up to a second floor bedroom. The great room features a cut stone mantle and over mantle framed with decorative gothic wood trusses.
The elegant warmth of the den is created by floor to ceiling wood paneling broken up by a cut stone fireplace. The coffered wood ceiling has tin ceiling panel inserts. The lower level is home to entertaining in the large "dine in", self-contained wine cellar.
